Cognitive Impairment and Physical Therapy: Maximize Outcome

Many geriatric patients have cognitive impairment which can affect treatment outcomes.  In this webinar we will discuss what changes and what does not, in terms of memory and cognition.  Then we will discuss how to take advantage of existing cognitive abilities.

There are many things you can do during your sessions to enhance attention, concentration, and awareness. There are also times where the patient is unable to make new explicit memories, for these cases we will discuss strategies related to errorless learning and sequencing.
